Pool setup

Tell Radiant Waves about the water it's watching. Volume is what turns "add acid" into "add 14 fl oz", and the sanitiser type decides which readings matter and what good looks like for them.

How the pool is sanitised

This sets the default targets and decides whether salt is tracked at all.

Size and shape

Dimensions in feet. Volume is worked out from the average depth — or enter gallons directly if you already know it and that number wins.

Diameter, if round

28,933 US gallons — every dose on the dashboard is scaled to this.
Mixing and the sensor

How fast a dose reaches the ICO. This sets how long recommendations wait after you log an addition before trusting the reading again.

A sensor in the return flow sees a dose first; one in a far corner sees it last.
Nothing mixes while the pump is off.
Target ranges

These open on the recommended values for your sanitiser type. Change them only if you have a reason — your chlorinator's manual, a pool professional, or local guidance.

Numbers the ICO can't see

The sensor doesn't measure these, but the dosing maths needs them. Get them from a test kit or a strip every few weeks and keep them roughly current — acid demand in particular scales directly with total alkalinity.
